Lovely Leaves: Kentucky Wedding Florist Blog Introduction

Updated: Mar 11, 2019

We are so glad you're here! Big things are coming in 2019 for Lovely Leaves and I am so excited to have you follow along with this journey.

Lovely Leaves was launched in January 2014 and we have had the honor of designing wedding flowers for over 400 amazing couples! Our company was launched as a florist catering specifically to brides and we are so thankful for all of the beautiful brides we have had the pleasure of working with. We offer boutique-quality floral design, up-to-date and inspired by all things gorgeous. This blog is NEW, but we will be offering the same high quality floral design brides have come to expect over the years and in addition, I am excited to share some of our favorite weddings and inspiration plus helpful wedding planning tips here.

Did you know that I began my wedding industry career as a wedding planner? Yep. In 2011 at age 24, I started out planning weddings.

We are not your typical florist: Planners at heart, we work with each client to be sure the design of her florals is woven perfectly into the fabric of her wedding to create an overall amazing day packed full of style and loveliness. Submitting a floral design quote form is EASY and our process is tried-and-true. Check out our reviews on the nation's most trusted wedding network: The Knot. We design flowers for gorgeous weddings in Kentucky and Texas plus select destination weddings throughout the country.

I love to get to know and connect with each of our couples. Getting married is personal and we are so grateful to have been a part of so many special days over the years. We want to serve you in the most present and best way. At this time we are only accepting a very limited number of weddings for custom floral design that fit well within our design style. We focus on weddings with lush bouquets and centerpieces designed with big focal blooms plus lots of greenery and textural accents. Weddings with custom floral design stand out because they feature large floral installations: Think grand ceremony arches and magical florals climbing up enchanting trees and lining dreamy staircases.

Custom wedding floral packages begin at $4500 in Kentucky and $5500 for destinations; intimate gatherings with guest counts below 100 begin at $3500. As always, our design plan process is easy and online.

Don't have $4500? I understand. We would still LOVE to design your wedding flowers. We have pre-set floral packages in place for budget savvy brides looking for simple florals. Because scheduling is hard, dates are limited and these packages are reserved for brides who are getting married within the next six months. Click here for budget-savvy floral packages.

We are going back to our roots and offering Wedding Coordination begining at $1800 for Kentucky weddings.

This year we coordinated five Kentucky weddings and I think I had forgotten how much I absolutely LOVE IT. Over the years we have been featured in print and on dozens of blogs and have had the pleasure of working with roughly 125 brides since our start eight years ago. It took me a while to fall in love with Kentucky, but I am so excited to be here full-time for this next year and to announce that we will begin offering Wedding Coordination services in the Bluegrass State for 2019 couples.

Our wedding coordination services will include all of the wonderful hands-on install necessary for the perfect wedding day with up to 24 combined hours of service between myself and team members over the wedding weekend, but as a bonus, we will include an early planning session to be sure you have all of your ducks in a row before the big day. You will get THREE HOURS OF AWESOME & UNDIVIDED PLANNING ATTENTION. Here's what your get:

  1. The first hour will be spent talking budget basics to help you know where to best spend your budget. Before we meet, be sure to know how much you can spend overall on your wedding and have your guest list complete with an A-List and a B-List (because less is always more with wedding guest lists, but sometimes you have to invite Great Aunt Selma to make your mother happy).

  2. The second hour we will discuss everyone's favorite topic: wedding decor. SPOILER ALERT: Get excited about a curated Pinterest board overflowing with beautiful inspiration tailored to your wedding vision and budget!

  3. The final hour will line out your wedding day timeline to be sure you have vendors booked for the correct amount of time from the start. It is no fun to be hit with hundreds of dollars in unexpected fees for late-night rental pick up or additional hours of entertainment. Just to be safe, we send out vendor timelines early on in the planning process to confirm service times with all vendors and to be sure your wedding takes precedence above the rest for delivery and installation time slots.

ONE MORE THING: We will also include a list of preferred vendors with our top picks and some budget-friendly options.

To check availability for Lovely Leaves Wedding Coordination, fill out the contact form here. We are currently offering this service for couples in Louisville, Lexington and Elizabethtown.
